    While yes, we’ve had some finicky moments with the ovens, the other issue has been more personal. Derek has been considering carpal tunnel surgery for a while now. In the last few weeks, it’s become clear that this has become a “when” and not an “if” situation. The biggest part is not the surgery, it’s the recovery time.

    From now until the surgery, we’re only going to be scheduled to be open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sunday Suppers. We may open at other times depending on how the hands are doing, but we’ll decide as we go.

    After the surgery, we’ll change things a bit. Instead of regular open hours with our full menu, we’ll have a calendar of special days. We’ll have Pie Day Fridays, possible guest chef suppers and other things we’ll come up with as we go. We’re still going to build up our grab and go freezer, and may add some ready to go prepped meals if people are interested.

    The point is, we love being part of this community, and we love cooking for you. We want to keep doing it as best as we can, for as long as we can. So thank you in advance for showing us grace and understanding (and support!)
